The History
Sultan Park is Maldives oldest public park. When the monarchy of Maldives ended, this park was established over the grounds of the old Sultan’s Palace. The only remaining structure is the white and green 3-story building known as Usgekolhu. It was used as the national museum from the 1950s until a new building was built in 2010 just a few meters away.
